Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data FunnyGamingBest collects when you use our multi-sport fantasy platform, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you.
1 Who we are
FunnyGamingBest (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates a skill-based multi-sport daily fantasy platform covering NFL, NHL, NBA and CFL competitions. For the purposes of applicable data protection law we act as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
- Company: Cosmo Fame Limited
- Registered address: 2/F WEST WING, 821 LAI CHI KOK RD, 長沙灣, Hong Kong
- Privacy contact: privacy@funnygamingbest.com
- General support: support@funnygamingbest.com
2 Scope of this policy
This policy applies to our website, the squad builder, contest and leaderboard features, our prediction engine, transactional and marketing email, customer support channels, and any related application or service that links to this document.
It does not apply to third-party websites, league or broadcaster sites, payment providers, or social networks that you reach through links from our platform. Those services publish their own privacy notices and you should read them before sharing data.
3 Data we collect
We limit collection to what we need to run contests fairly and keep accounts secure.
Account data
- Display name, email address and hashed password.
- Country or region and interface language.
- Date of birth or age confirmation used for eligibility checks.
- Optional profile picture and favourite leagues.
Gameplay data
- Squads, formations, transfers, captain choices and contest entries.
- Points, ranks, streaks, private-league membership and invite codes.
- Interaction with AI projections, filters and lineup tools.
Technical data
- IP address, approximate location derived from it, and time zone.
- Device type, operating system, browser, screen size and language headers.
- Log data such as request timestamps, referring pages and error traces.
Billing data
- Plan, billing cycle, currency, invoices and payment status.
- Card brand and last four digits as returned by our payment processor. We never store full card numbers, CVV values or bank credentials on our servers.
4 How we collect data
- Directly from you: registration, plan upgrades, squad creation, support tickets, surveys and competition entries.
- Automatically: cookies, local storage and server logs generated while you browse or play.
- From third parties: payment processors confirming a charge, sports data suppliers providing fixtures and statistics, anti-fraud providers, and identity providers if you sign in with a social or single sign-on account.
Sports statistics we license from data suppliers describe athletes and fixtures, not our users, and are not treated as your personal data.
5 Why we use your data
| Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|
| Provide the service | Create your account, save squads, score contests, publish leaderboards. |
| Personalise | Remember leagues and filters, surface relevant fixtures and projections. |
| Billing | Process subscriptions, issue invoices, handle refunds and chargebacks. |
| Integrity and fairness | Detect multi-accounting, collusion, bots and abusive automation. |
| Security | Investigate incidents, rate-limit abuse, maintain audit trails. |
| Support | Answer tickets, reproduce reported bugs, follow up on complaints. |
| Improve the product | Aggregate usage analysis, retrain projection models, A/B testing. |
| Communicate | Service notices, matchday reminders and, with consent, marketing. |
| Comply with law | Tax records, age eligibility, responses to lawful requests. |
6 Legal bases for processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the following.
- Contract: processing needed to give you the account, contests and plan features you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: platform security, fraud prevention, service analytics and product improvement, balanced against your rights.
- Consent: non-essential cookies, marketing email and any optional feature that asks for it. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
- Legal obligation: accounting, tax and lawful requests from competent authorities.
7 AI models and profiling
Our prediction engine scores fixtures and projects player performance using historical statistics, form, fatigue, travel and weather signals. These models are trained primarily on sports data, not on the personal details of our users.
We do use aggregated behavioural signals to rank suggestions inside your interface, and automated checks to flag suspicious activity such as duplicate accounts. Automated flags do not by themselves close an account: material decisions, including suspensions, receive human review, and you may contest an outcome by writing to our privacy contact.
8 Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal data. We share it only in the situations below.
- Service providers: hosting, content delivery, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, error monitoring and customer support tooling, each bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
- Other users: your display name, avatar, squad and score become visible on leaderboards and inside leagues you join. Your email and billing details never appear there.
- Corporate transactions: an acquirer or successor entity in a merger, reorganisation or asset sale, subject to this policy.
- Legal and safety: authorities, regulators or advisers where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety or platform integrity.
9 International transfers
We operate globally, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our hosting and support providers are located. Where data leaves a region with restrictions on international transfers, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions or equivalent mechanisms, together with encryption in transit and access controls.
10 Retention periods
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Active account data | For as long as the account exists. |
| Closed account data | Deleted or anonymised within 90 days of closure, unless a longer period is legally required. |
| Contest and leaderboard history | Up to 24 months in identifiable form, then aggregated. |
| Billing and tax records | Up to 7 years, as required by accounting law. |
| Security and access logs | Up to 12 months. |
| Support tickets | Up to 24 months after the ticket is closed. |
11 Security measures
- TLS encryption for all traffic between your device and our servers.
- Passwords stored only as salted, slow one-way hashes.
- Role-based access control and least-privilege rules for internal systems.
- Segregated production environments, monitored access and audit logging.
- Regular dependency patching, backups and restore testing.
- An incident response process that notifies affected users and, where required, regulators without undue delay.
No online service can promise absolute security. Use a unique password, enable any available second factor and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
12 Your rights
Subject to your local law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request erasure of data we no longer need to keep.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including profiling.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Write to privacy@funnygamingbest.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we may decline requests that are excessive or that would infringe the rights of other users.
13 Marketing preferences
Marketing email is sent only where you have opted in or where permitted by applicable law. Every marketing message includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can adjust preferences under Account → Notifications.
Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages such as password resets, billing receipts, security alerts and changes to these terms, since those are needed to operate your account.
14 Children and age limits
The platform is intended for adults who meet the minimum legal age in their jurisdiction and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under the applicable age, we suspend it and delete the associated data. A parent or guardian who believes a minor has registered can contact our privacy address and we will act promptly.
15 Cookies and tracking
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect the platform. With your consent we also set preference, analytics and campaign-measurement cookies. You can change or withdraw cookie consent at any time.
Full details of each category, the reasons we use it and how to control it are set out in our Cookie Policy.
16 Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect product, legal or security changes. The version number and date at the top of the page always show the current release. For material changes we give notice by email or an in-product message before they take effect, and continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
